SO AMAZING. I'm super obsessed with the white dress that fades into red. So beautiful. It's almost Lady Macbeth meets couture, yes? Maybe I'm stretching it. Anywho, I'm totally blown away. It's cohesive. It's dark, yet elegant. lasjfl;ksjdlksjdlk.

Christian Lacroix Couture Fall 09

If you pay any attention to fashion news, you should know all the drama surrounding the state of Christian Lacroix right now. If not, his couture house has filed for bankrupcy. He's owed tons of money from his company, and has been working for free for months. At the moment, there are no investors willing to save Lacroix from extinction. It's really sad. This collection could be Lacroix's last, which makes the whole thing even more heartbreaking. The man himself has said in the past few months that he'll fight with couture, and fight he did. The collection is absolutely beautiful.

Couture!

So I know I've been gone for a long time now. Hey, the life of an intern / gal-about-town is super busy! But, I'm back! I figured there was no better time to resume by devotion to fashion blogging than Couture Week! Let's begin with Dior, shall we?

I'm loving the whole 40's Parisian boudoir thing that this collection has going on, and the model's oh-so-couture poses. This collection makes me want to:

a) marry some unbearably rich guy who can afford all this, and wear it around like it were sweatpants

b) buy tons of lingere and wear it as clothes.

The chances of either of these things happening are slim (actually, option B is totally probable), but a girl can dream.
