Shipley & Halmos for Uniqlo

Nylon posted a first look at Shipley & Halmos' Spring capsule collection for Uniqlo. I don't really love any of the pieces in the collection, but they're not bad. The collection hits stores May 7th. I may stop by Uniqlo when I'm in New York this summer to check it out.

Dear Nylon,

NOT EVERYONE IS OBSESSED WITH PEACHES.

Seriously, I am SO SICK of hearing about how amazing Peaches Geldof is.  And I'm SO SICK of opening what would otherwise be an awesome magazine only to find that Peaches thinks geeks are cute (shocker! girls find geeks CUTE?!) or old movies are cool (OMG THAT IS SO ORIGINAL, no one thinks those old things are cool!) I think I'm going to cancel my subscription.

PPQ on Nylon TV!

I was really sad that there was no coverage of the PPQ show in London, but this makes me feel much, much better.  Thanks NYLON!

Disappointed.

By now you all must know how much I love Nylon.  If you don't know, I love it alot.  But I have to say this month's issue was a yawn.  Although I did like the bit about the Baltimore music scene. That was awesome.  Getting back to the point . . .
I blame the cover girl, Camilla Belle.  I get it, she's pretty and sweet and can act blah blah blah.  But isn't everyone?  Ok not everyone, but you know what I mean.  That's the usual banter about every cover girl of pretty much every magazine ever made.  I'm just saying her spread really bored me.  The styling was ok, but it doesn't really make up for the fact that she's not the best model. I mean, I don't expect her to be Caroline or anything, but still.  Lily Allen's spread last month was so much more adorable.   Also, the cover is really boring.  Couldn't they have picked a more exciting picture?  It's so stiff and assumed.  Camilla even looks uncomfortable.  Yikes.
Aside from Camilla, I feel like Nylon has been making poor choices in the cover girl department for awhile now.  They have some awesome girls on the cover, don't get me wrong, but every now and then  they're choices just confuse me:  Paris Hilton?  90210 Girls? I just don't get it.  Ah well . . . And then there's the magazine's obsession with Peaches Geldof and Cory Kennedy.  But that's a completely different matter.
I LOVE NYLON, but I expect much better from such an awesome publication.

Nylon posted a first look of McQ for Target today!  Finally, my dreams of owning an Alexander McQueen design will come true!   Click here to see the entire collection.  I have to be honest, alot of the pieces aren't really my style, but here are a few of my favorite looks:
