LVMH Needs Interns!

LVMH, the corporate giant that owns pretty much every luxery brand you've ever heard of (like Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, and Fendi), is looking for PR interns!

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out special event planning activities and arrangements as outlined by the Public Relations Manager i.e. rentals, catering, deliveries, on-site entertainment, flyers, invitations…

• Assisting with Vendor Management including, but not limited to printing materials, renting audio/visual equipment, photography, graphic arts services or supplying products

• Assisting with maintenance of media lists and other databases • Analyzing monthly PR statistic reports and assist with monthly reporting to Paris

• Assisting with the management of newspaper and periodical inventories for easy access. Track and file newspapers clippings and magazines major credits. Tracks and compiles fundraising and/or events press and data.

• Assisting with administrative duties including faxing, processing, mailings, gifting and other ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:

Public Relations Intern must be actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a University with a concentration in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising or other related program. Must be energetic, organized, with a sharp attention to detail and accuracy, have good interpersonal and written skills. Must be result driven and demonstrate the ability to interact professionally with all clients. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management is necessary.

While perusing the magazine section of Borders, I found a rogue copy of Love Magazine! Ah! For those of you who don't know, Love was founded by Katie Grand, former editor of POP, one of the coolest fashion magazine's out there. Anywho, its a British magazine and it's totally awesome. Apparently the first, and only, issue was sold out months ago. Imagine my surprise when I found a lone copy just sitting there on the shelf! Yay! The magazine is really awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Maybe I'll post some pictures from it later? Hmm . . .

Oh yeah, and The Gossip's Beth Ditto is on the cover. Putting a big girl like Beth on the cover only makes Love cooler. Yay!

Enough.

I read NY Mag's "The Cut" pretty much every day, and I really enjoy reading it.  I have only one problem with it.  The blog likes to document EVERY SINGLE THING that Michelle Obama wears.  Every. Thing.  Like yesteryday, for example, the blog cited that she boarded a plane to London wearing Thakoon.  How fascinating! After landing in London, she exited the plane in a Jason Wu dress and Michael Kors coat.  How stylish!  Today, "The Cut" is reporting that, oh look!, she's wearing a skirt and cardigan from J. Crew.  Then they marvel about her fashion savvy for wearing sparkles during the day.  Come on, "The Cut," 3 posts on Michelle Obama's sartorial choices in 24 hours? 

Don't get me wrong, I really like Michelle Obama, and the whole Obama clan.  I voted for Barack back in November.  I like that she mixes normal brands with young, cool designers.  But do I really have to read about every wardrobe change she makes every day?  There have to be more exciting or important things going on in the world than Michelle Obama's wardrobe.  Am I alone in this?
