Christian Siriano for Payless

In February, Christian Siriano debuted his collection for Payless in his Fall '09 show.  The collection was all spikes, reminiscent of the Louboutin for Rodarte shoes, and just plain fab. 

Today, Racked leaked some photos of the same Payless collection.  

The shoes are so, so toned down from what we saw on the runway.  The heels aren't as high or as spiked, there are way fewer chains, and there are no spikes all over the shoes!  Don't get me wrong, the shoes look cute; but, I was totally looking forward to walking down the street in shoes that could basically maim someone.  So sad . . .

The shoes should hit stores in mid-August, and they all should retail below $45.  Mark your calendars!

 

Kanye's Kicks

The ad's for Kanye West's Louis Vuitton sneakers leaked today.  The shoes look cool, I guess.  I still think they look like colorful marshmallows for your feet.  And is Kanye selling shoes in this ad, or himself?  I choose the latter.

Thrift Store Finds

Everyone loves a good thrift store.  So, I've decided to start a segment about the awesome things I find at thrift stores!  Yes!  Here are a few items I picked up over the weekend.

Miu Miu flats, $129, found at More Than You Can Imagine.  More Than You Can Imagine is this really awesome thrift store the sells only designer items.  It's on Westheimer, across the street from Chuys, in River Oaks.  You know all the rich socialites are discarding all of last season's stuff to this place.  I even found a cream Prada Fall 08 lace skirt for $200!  Too bad it was the same color as my skin . . .

Stella McCartney for Whatever It Takes Tote, $17, found at Buffalo Exchange.  You may remember they were selling this bag at Urban Outfitters a few months ago for like $50.

Vivienne / Melissa

Vivienne Westwood's latest collaboration with Brazilian shoe line Melissa has produced the cutest shoes I've ever seen.  Melissa makes all its shoes out of plastic, so its completely on trend for this season's jelly shoe thing.  You can buy them on Epaulet.  Oh, and did I mention they're only $149?
