NYC based brand, VPL, is looking for production interns for the summer in NYC. The internship is mostly administrative, with interns working directly with designers and production coordinator. Interns will also attend fittings and assist on various aspects of design, merchandising, and sales.
Duties include:
- Research and sourcing fabrics, trims/buttons, etc
- Keeping stock organized
- Assisting with seasonal shipments
- Speccing garments
- Preparing cutter/'s musts and cutting tickets
- Communicating between VPL and factories
- Communicating with dyers, cutters, and various other vendors
- Maintaining quality control in garments
