Ideeli is having a Subversive sample sale right now. I'm sort of salivating over the Political Tyranny necklace, but it's still $739. Yikes. Anyone want to buy it for me?

Obsession: Swiss Dot Tights
Now that its FINALLY getting a bit chilly (we're talking blazer weather), it's time to think about tights! Tights are especially essential for me. I'm a strictly skirts and dresses girl; I rarely rare pants. Lately, I've been looking for something other then the standard opaque black tights. My go to option? Swiss dot tights, circa Balenciaga Fall 09. If you're like me and can't afford designer tights that would probably get runs in like two seconds, I found some great options.
Ta Da! American Apparel makes some great swiss dot tights, for much MUCH cheaper. Also, Aa tights are pretty durable. I especially like the heart tights. They're sort of a cutesy, kicky version of the swiss dot. I may get both?

Louis Vuitton Spring '10
Um, what is wrong with Marc Jacobs lately? I'm so confused. First, his not-so-great eponymous collection, and now this for Louis Vuitton. Apparently his inspiration was "travelers - the movement that came after punk" and "city utilitarianism." If by travelers, he means social anarchists, crust punks, and gutter punks, I'm even more confused. I know some of those kids, and they could care less about Louis Vuitton and fashion in general. Is this really the message he wants to send to the Louis Vuitton customer? They probably don't even know about travelers. I'm so confused. It's not like the collection was good, but not very Louis Vuitton-ish. It was bad, just bad.

Alexander McQueen Spring '10
OH MY GOD SO GENIUS I'M GOING TO CRY. I managed to stealthily watch Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection during my economics class and I almost had a heart attack. DO YOU SEE HOW CRAZY THESE CLOTHES ARE?
